V Australia Secures Canadian Traffic Rights
Australia’s Virgin Blue Group has received approval from the Canadian Transportation Agency for its long-haul brand V Australia to launch flights between the two countries, although no formal announcement has yet been made by the carrier. Its new traffic rights will also enable it to offer codeshare flights with US partner Delta Air Lines and regional carrier SkyWest Airlines from any destination it serves in Canada. According to a formal document released by the transportation agency last week: “V Australia is licensed to operate a scheduled international service in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of Australia relating to Air Services signed on July 5, 1988
