Tenth Routes Asia to Commence This Weekend in Chengdu

After previous successes in Kuala Lumpur, Pattaya; Hainan, Macau; Hyderabad; Adelaide and last year in Incheon, South Korea, the tenth Routes Asia event will open this weekend at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chengdu, China. The event is expected to be the largest Routes Asia forum to date with record delegate numbers expected to attend over the coming three days. The event is being hosted by Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, one of the fastest expanding facilities in the developing Chinese aviation market.

Chengdu’s history stretches back some 2,000 years, and the city has been crowned The Best Tourism City of China. As well as the Giant Pandas, for which Chengdu has become internationally renowned, the city is also the centre of finance, commerce, transportation, communication and science and technology in the central western part of China.
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CDIA) is now the largest air hub and passenger and cargo distribution centre in the central western region of China. CDIA now has more than 80 domestic and international routes. In 2010, it handled 25.8million passengers, making it the sixth busiest airport in China.
All the latest news from the event and industry analysis will appear in The HUB news section but you can also keep up to date by downloading the Routes Asia 2012 App.
