U.S. carrier Sun Country Airlines unveiled 10 seasonal route additions for the 2024 northern hemisphere summer season, including flights to Montreal Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

The seasonal routes to YUL and YYZ will be flown from Sun Country’s Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) base from June 2024 through Sept. 10, 2024. The airline plans to operate both routes 2X-weekly.

Air Canada and Delta Air Lines currently fly both the MSP-YUL and MSP-YYZ routes.

Sun Country, which operates all Boeing 737s on passenger flights, will also kick off seasonal service between MSP and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) from June 2024, flying the MSP-IAD route 4X-weekly.

Seven more 2X-weekly 2024 summer season domestic routes will be operated from MSP to: Albuquerque, New Mexico; Billings, Montana; Boise, Idaho; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Missoula, Montana; Oakland, California; and Syracuse, New York.

“With these new destinations, Sun Country will offer nonstop service from MSP to 98 distinct markets in 2024,” the airline says in a statement.

Sun Country Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Grant Whitney adds: “We have more than doubled our nonstop destinations for customers flying out of MSP in the last five years and we are thrilled to offer these unique new offerings spanning the continent from Quebec to New Mexico.”

The airline notes it will switch MSP-Houston flights from Bush Intercontinental Airport to Hobby Airport in Spring 2024.

Sun Country says it will operate 120 total routes in 2024.
