Southwest Airlines will open a new seasonal route and resume a host of other seasonal services in January 2024.

The new service to be launched will be 1X-weekly flights between Omaha Eppley Airfield (OMA) in Nebraska and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in Florida. The all-Boeing 737-operator will operate the OMA-FLL on Saturdays from Jan. 13 to March 6, 2024.

The airline will also resume daily seasonal service from Dallas Love Field (DAL) to both Fort Myers, Florida and Palm Springs, California from Jan. 8. On the same day, it will restart 5X-weekly seasonal flights between Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Orlando International Airport (MCO).

From Jan. 13 and 14, Southwest will resume seasonal service on a string of routes, all operating 1X-weekly except FLL to Albany, New York service, which will be operated 2X-weekly. Other Southwest seasonal routes returning to FLL in mid-January include Phoenix and Louisville, Kentucky.

MCO will see 1X-weekly seasonal Southwest routes return to Cincinnati, Ohio and Detroit. Other highlights of resuming mid-January seasonal services include: Fort Myers to Buffalo, Louisville and Providence, Rhode Island; Houston Hobby Airport to Lubbock, Texas and Philadelphia; and Nashville to OMA, Salt Lake City and Orange County, California.
