SmartWings Targets New Markets
SmartWings, the low-cost division of Czech Republic operator Travel Service Airlines, confirmed at Routes Tourism Mediterranean in Antlaya, Turkey, its summer expansion plans, including a possible link to Antalya, subject to Government approval. The carrier plans to launch a weekly service from March 19, increasing frequencies to up to eight weekly flights during the peak summer months. From February 13, the budget airline has increased its flights from Prague to Dubai to three-times weekly, while from the end of March it will expand its network in France with new Nantes and Nice connections. Both routes will be operated twice-weekly on Thursdays and Sundays using a Boeing 737-500.
