Wizz Air has confirmed plans to expand its presence in Slovakia with 12 new routes from Bratislava Airport (BTS) and the deployment of two additional based aircraft. The carrier will launch flights in phases starting Nov. 21, 2025, led by a new domestic service to Kosice, operating nine times per week. Additional routes to Larnaca, Chisinau, Berlin, Dortmund, Rome, Tirana, Ohrid, Prishtina, Tel Aviv, Tuzla and Warsaw will follow through January and March 2026. “Today marks a historic expansion indeed, as with these additional routes Wizz Air is offering the highest number of scheduled routes operated by a single airline in Bratislava,” Wizz Air CEO Jozsef Varadi says. The BTS expansion comes after the ULCC opted to close its base at Vienna Airport.
Blue Islands will expand its summer 2026 schedule with an extra Norwich service and more Paris capacity. A new nonstop Guernsey-Norwich flight will operate weekly on Thursdays, complementing existing Jersey-Norwich services. From Jersey, the Paris Charles de Gaulle route will run up to 3X-weekly and the season will start Apr. 2, 2026—seven weeks earlier than in 2025. CEO Rob Veron says the airline is “continuing to invest in the Channel Islands’ connectivity, adding more flights from Jersey to Paris and an extra Norwich service nonstop from Guernsey.”
Icelandair plans to launch flights to Faro, Portugal, on March 26, 2026, expanding its network in southern Europe. The route will operate 2X-weekly on Mondays and Fridays until May 11, then 1X-weekly on Saturdays from May 16 onward. The new service marks the carrier’s first scheduled route to the Algarve region. “We are seeing strong demand for destinations in Southern Europe and want to ensure that Icelandic travelers and international guests have diverse and convenient connections,” CEO Bogi Nils Bogason says.
Iberia will grow its European network for summer 2026 with new routes to Bucharest, Romania, and Tivat, Montenegro, alongside frequency increases and the return of several destinations. The airline will operate 2X-weekly flights from Madrid to Bucharest between June 3 and Sept. 30, and 2X-weekly flights to Tivat from July 18 to Sept. 15. Iberia has also confirmed the resumption of services to Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb, Catania, Palermo, Corfu, Mykonos, Santorini, Funchal and Tirana, as well as frequency increases to Milan (44X-weekly), Athens (29X-weekly in August) and Nice (24X-weekly).
Air Côte d’Ivoire has launched its first intercontinental service, inaugurating 6X-weekly flights between Abidjan and Paris Charles de Gaulle. The route is operated with the airline’s new Airbus A330-900 aircraft and places the carrier in direct competition with Air France, which also serves the route.
Greece’s SKY Express has opened a new route connecting Athens and Berlin, operating four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The route will be operated by Airbus A320neo aircraft. It increases the airline’s international network to 27 destinations.

EasyJet will launch four new routes from the UK next summer, connecting Birmingham, Bristol and Edinburgh to destinations in Italy, Spain, Greece and Slovenia. The airline will begin Birmingham–Rome Fiumicino service on March 5, 2026, operating four times per week. Edinburgh–Ljubljana flights will start April 4, becoming Scotland’s only direct link to Slovenia. Two Bristol routes will follow in June, with service to Reus from June 25 and Thessaloniki from June 27, both 2X-weekly. “Our continued growth and investment in the UK highlights its continued strategic importance for easyJet,” says Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK country manager.
Jet2.com has unveiled six new routes as part of its newly launched summer 2027 program, which is now on sale across all 13 of its UK bases. The additions include services from Birmingham and Manchester to Bergerac, Edinburgh to Skiathos and new links from Manchester to Jersey and from London Stansted to Costa de Almería and La Palma. The new routes form part of a wider schedule that features more than 470 routes and 19 million seats to 59 destinations across Europe and the Mediterranean.
Royal Jordanian will launch nonstop service between Amman and Casablanca on Oct. 16, expanding its North Africa network. The airline will operate the route 2X-weekly using Airbus A320neo aircraft. The new service marks the reinstatement of a connection previously served by the carrier and aligns with Royal Jordanian’s plan to strengthen Amman’s position as a regional hub. “The launch of flights to Casablanca marks an important step toward strengthening air connectivity between Jordan and Morocco,” says Samer Majali, Royal Jordanian’s vice chairman and CEO.

Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will launch new services to Labuan Bajo, Medan, Palembang and Semarang between December 2025 and February 2026, expanding its Indonesian network to 15 destinations. Flights to Labuan Bajo will operate 2X-weekly from Dec. 21, while Semarang services will begin Dec. 23, increasing to 4X-weekly flights in January. Palembang flights will start Jan. 15, 2026, with 4X-weekly services, and daily Medan flights will launch Feb. 1. The routes will be operated by Embraer 190-E2 and Airbus A320-family aircraft. Scoot CEO Leslie Thng says the new destinations “underscore our commitment to strengthen our network connectivity in Southeast Asia.” By February 2026, Scoot will operate more than 120 weekly flights to Indonesia. The LCC also plans to increase frequencies to several Southeast Asian cities, including Bangkok, Bali, Surabaya and Penang.
Wizz Air will open its 36th base in Podgorica, Montenegro, in March 2026, stationing two Airbus A321neo aircraft and launching 14 new routes. The expansion will add 1 million seats annually. CEO József Váradi says the new base represents “a long-term investment in the future of Montenegrin mobility, economy and global reach.” The ULCC will start four flights per week to Malmo from March 29, followed by Paris on March 30, Hamburg and Maastricht on March 31, and several others from June. From June 1, flights will begin to Barcelona, Basel and Rzeszow (three to four weekly), followed by Rome, Baden-Baden, Cologne/Bonn and Ljubljana from June 2. Services to Poznan will start June 4, Gdansk on June 7 and Wroclaw on June 16.
Croatia Airlines has marked the first commercial flight of its new Airbus A220-100 at Dubrovnik’s Ruder Boskovic Airport at the same time as confirming plans to extend its Dubrovnik–Rome route into the winter 2025-26 season. The 2X-weekly service, operating Thursdays and Sundays, will now run year-round, while 3X-weekly Dubrovnik–Frankfurt flights will also continue through winter. The A220-100, delivered Sept. 30 and named Dubrovnik, is part of the airline’s ongoing fleet renewal program.

Saudi Arabian LCC flyadeal will expand its Pakistan network with the launch of 2X-weekly nonstop flights between Riyadh and Lahore, beginning Oct. 27. The new service marks the airline’s fifth destination in Pakistan and comes just months after it added routes to Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar and Sialkot. “It’s been a fabulous few months for us building flyadeal’s successful Pakistan operations with new routes in quick succession,” CEO Steven Greenway says. “We have accelerated our Pakistan expansion due to aircraft availability and market dynamics where demand played a big role.” The addition of Lahore, Pakistan’s second-largest city, brings flyadeal’s total Saudi Arabia-Pakistan frequency to 18X-weekly flights. All services are operated with single-class Airbus A320 aircraft.
Frontier Airlines has resumed operations at Tulsa International Airport (TUL) with the launch of a 2X-weekly nonstop service to Denver International Airport. The ULCC last served TUL in March 2022. “We are thrilled to be back in Tulsa, offering affordable nonstop service to Denver and connecting opportunities to many exciting destinations beyond,” says Josh Flyr, Frontier's vice president of network and operations design. Stephanie Chester, TUL's director of marketing and customer engagement, adds: “Frontier's new service to Denver opens more doors for leisure and business travel, and expands affordable travel options for our community.”
Wizz Air plans to launch a new route between Malmo Airport, Sweden, and Podgorica, Montenegro. Starting March 29, 2026, the service will operate four times per week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—using Airbus A321 aircraft. “Wizz Air’s investment in an additional direct route from Malmo Airport is a clear sign of the continued high demand for international travel to and from Sweden,” says Elizabeth Axtelius, director of aviation business at Swedish airport operator Swedavia.

IndiGo will launch daily flights between Delhi and Hanoi starting Dec. 20, 2025, using Airbus A320 aircraft. The new service expands connectivity between India and Vietnam, adding to the carrier’s 14X-weekly flights linking Kolkata with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Separately, IndiGo has confirmed that daily nonstop flights between Delhi and Guangzhou will begin Nov. 10, 2025, also operated with A320s. The route builds on the airline’s recently announced Kolkata-Guangzhou service, restoring nonstop connectivity between India and China.
Frontier Airlines has commenced new nonstop service between Corpus Christi International Airport and Denver International Airport, marking the first mainline route added at the Texas airport since 1997. “This is a truly historic day for Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend region,” Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo says. “After nearly three decades, we are celebrating a significant victory for our travelers, economy and connectivity.” Service on the route will be 2X-weekly.
AJet will open a route between Ankara Esenboga Airport and Baghdad on Nov. 3, offering three flights per week between the Turkish and Iraqi capitals. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Ankara, with return flights departing Baghdad on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Royal Air Maroc has started a new route between Marrakech and Toulouse, France. Flights will be operated by Boeing 737-8 aircraft with 168 seats. Royal Air Maroc CEO Hamid Addou says the new service “meets the expectations of Moroccans living in Occitanie while offering Toulousains a direct connection to one of Morocco’s most iconic destinations.”
Saudia has inaugurated its first scheduled service between Riyadh and Moscow Sheremetyevo, expanding its network to more than 100 destinations worldwide. The new route will operate three times per week using Boeing 787-10 aircraft. The route has been launched in partnership with the Saudi Tourism Authority and the Air Connectivity Program. “Launching direct flights between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations,” says Ibrahim Al-Omar, director general of Saudia Group. “This milestone directly supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 … by contributing to connecting the Kingdom with more than 250 international destinations.”
Royal Jordanian will resume nonstop service between Amman and Munich on March 27, 2026, restoring a route last operated in 2020. The connection from Queen Alia International Airport will run year-round, three times per week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flights will be operated with Airbus A320neo aircraft. “This is an important step in line with our growth strategy to position Jordan as a new, trendy destination for the German market,” Royal Jordanian’s Chief Commercial Officer Karim Makhlouf says. Munich joins Berlin and Frankfurt as the airline’s third destination in Germany.
Jet2.com has expanded its Central European network with the launch of new 2X-weekly flights from Budapest to Newcastle and East Midlands. The routes further strengthen the UK leisure airline’s presence in Hungary, adding to existing services from Budapest to Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds Bradford.
