Vietnamese LCC Vietjet will resume flights to Da Lat in August following the planned reopening of Lien Khuong International Airport on Aug. 19. The carrier will restore five domestic routes linking Da Lat with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Vinh and Da Nang. The schedule includes 28X-weekly roundtrip flights to Hanoi, 7X-weekly roundtrips each to Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh, 4X-weekly roundtrips to Hai Phong and 3X-weekly roundtrips to Da Nang.
Wizz Air will begin nonstop flights between Bratislava, Slovakia, and Baku, Azerbaijan, on Sept. 29. The new route will operate 2X-weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. According to OAG Schedules Analyser data, the ULCC currently offers two routes to Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport, flying from Budapest and Rome Fiumicino.
Philippine Airlines will expand its North American network this winter by adding frequencies to Vancouver, Toronto and New York City. Beginning Nov. 17, the carrier will increase Manila-Vancouver service from seven to 10X-weekly flights. Toronto will grow from three to 4X-weekly flights from Dec. 5, while New York John F. Kennedy will increase from three to 4X-weekly flights on Dec. 2, with a fifth frequency added during the peak December-January holiday period. The additional Toronto and New York services will initially be operated by the Airbus A350-900 aircraft, before transitioning to PAL's new Airbus A350-1000. The A350-1000 will also begin serving San Francisco from August.
Eurowings has expanded its network from Cologne Bonn Airport with the launch of new routes to Pristina and Tbilisi. Service to Pristina began on July 1 and operates 2X-weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays. Tbilisi launched on July 2 with weekly Thursday flights, increasing to 2X-weekly from July 20 with the addition of Monday service. Additionally, Belgrade will join the network on July 17, operating twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.
Oman’s SalamAir has launched its first scheduled service to Indonesia with the inauguration of nonstop flights between Muscat and Medan. The new route operates 2X-weekly using Airbus A321neo aircraft. The carrier says the service will support tourism, business and cultural links between Oman and Indonesia while also catering to Umrah traffic by offering one-stop connections via Muscat to Jeddah and Medina.
Luxair has commenced nonstop flights between Luxembourg and Helsinki. The route will be offered twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Services are operated using the Embraer 195-E2, marking the first scheduled operation of the aircraft type at Helsinki Airport.
Ethiopian Airlines has launched nonstop passenger flights between Addis Ababa and Lyon, expanding its network in France to three destinations. The new service operates three times per week. “France has been an integral part of Ethiopian Airlines’ network for decades, and throughout this time we have connected Paris and Marseille with numerous destinations across Africa through seamless links via our hub in Addis Ababa,” CEO Mesfin Tasew says.

Oman’s SalamAir will commence nonstop flights between Muscat and Sylhet in September, expanding its Bangladesh network with a third destination. The route will operate three times per week, with connecting options available from Salalah via Muscat. "The introduction of direct flights to Sylhet is a milestone for SalamAir and reflects our continued commitment to expanding connectivity between Oman and Bangladesh,” CCO Steven Allen says. “Bangladesh is a strategically important market for us, and Sylhet presents significant opportunities to serve family travel, tourism, business and religious traffic.”
Dubai-based LCC Flydubai has launched daily nonstop flights between Dubai and Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport, adding a second destination in Thailand alongside Krabi. The route is operated daily using Boeing 737-8 aircraft. The airline says the new service responds to strong demand for travel between the UAE and Thailand.
Etihad Airways is adding frequencies to Brussels and Krakow, making Dhaka a year-round destination and extending seasonal services to Zanzibar and Palma de Mallorca. The carrier says its 4X-weekly Abu Dhabi-Dhaka route, launched June 26, will now operate year-round following strong demand. Seasonal service to Zanzibar has been extended through March 31, 2027, while Palma de Mallorca flights will continue until Oct. 18. Etihad will also increase Abu Dhabi-Krakow service from three to four flights per week from July 27 and boost Abu Dhabi-Brussels from seven to 11X-weekly flights from Dec. 15, adding four Airbus A321LR services.
Saudi Arabia’s flyadeal has started its first scheduled services to Italy, introducing nonstop flights between Milan Bergamo and both Jeddah and Riyadh. The Jeddah route began on July 1, followed by Riyadh on July 2. Both services operate 3X-weekly using Airbus A320neo aircraft, with Jeddah flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and Riyadh flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The additions make Saudi Arabia the 45th country served from Milan Bergamo Airport during the 2026 summer season.

U.S. carrier Avelo Airlines will launch commercial service from North Texas’ McKinney National Airport in November, becoming the airport's first scheduled passenger airline. The carrier will open a base at the airport on Nov. 11 with two based Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Initial service will include nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Orlando and Tampa. Flights to Fort Myers will begin Nov. 11 with 2X-weekly service, followed by Las Vegas and Orlando on Nov. 12, operating four and five times per week, respectively. Fort Lauderdale and Tampa will launch on Nov. 19 with five and four roundtrips per week. The services coincide with the opening of McKinney National Airport's new passenger terminal.
Riyadh Air is further growing its launch network with the addition of flights from Riyadh to Malaga, Kuala Lumpur and Dhaka. Seasonal service to Malaga will begin on July 14 and operate through Sept. 8, while year-round flights to Kuala Lumpur will commence on July 30. The airline will also start daily flights to Dhaka on Aug. 7. All routes will be operated using the carrier’s new Boeing 787-9 fleet, which has grown to five aircraft, with a sixth due shortly.
Kazakhstan’s Air Astana will resume nonstop flights between Astana and Dubai on July 4, restoring service after a suspension caused by regional airspace restrictions. The carrier says the route will initially operate with a limited schedule before increasing to daily service from Aug. 3.
LATAM Airlines Brasil is launching three new international routes from Sao Paulo. The carrier has inaugurated nonstop service to Cape Town and seasonal flights to Ushuaia, followed by the launch of flights to Punta Cana on July 2. Cape Town will be served three times per week using Boeing 787-9 aircraft, while Punta Cana will operate 5X-weekly and Ushuaia 4X-weekly through Aug. 31 using Airbus A320-family aircraft.

Norwegian will commence nonstop flights between Tromso and Helsinki on Nov. 18, expanding its international network from northern Norway. The route will operate 2X-weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the winter season. Helsinki becomes Norwegian’s ninth international destination from Tromso, joining Berlin, Copenhagen, Geneva, London, Manchester, Milan, Munich and Paris.
Turkish LCC AJet has launched nonstop flights between Bodrum and Hamburg, expanding its German network. The service operates twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the summer season. Hamburg becomes one of six German cities served nonstop from Bodrum by AJet this summer, alongside Berlin, Bremen, Hanover, Leipzig and Nuremberg.
Qantas will increase capacity to Tokyo and Queenstown during the peak northern winter 2026-27 travel season, adding more than 45,000 seats across the two markets. From December through March 2027, the airline will increase flights between Melbourne and Tokyo Narita from daily to 11X-weekly, adding about 30,000 seats in response to strong demand. The airline says passenger numbers to Japan rose 8% year over year between October 2025 and March 2026, reaching 350,000 travelers. Qantas is also expanding trans-Tasman services, adding more than 15,000 seats between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and Queenstown, while increasing capacity between Sydney and Auckland by up to 10% through additional flights and larger aircraft.
Condor has opened a nonstop route between Frankfurt and Egypt’s capital Cairo. The new route operates daily. “With this new daily service, we are consciously investing in a market with long-term potential and creating additional connections via Frankfurt,” says Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor. “The successful launch of operations is an important milestone for our international route network and strengthens our offering for business, leisure and connecting travelers.”
Latvia’s airBaltic will extend its seasonal service between Tallinn and Vienna into the winter 2026-27 season, making the route a year-round operation. The service, which currently operates up to three times per week during the summer season, will continue through winter with up to two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays. Vienna is one of 29 destinations served by airBaltic from Tallinn during summer 2026.

EasyJet has announced 13 new winter 2026-27 routes from 10 UK airports, including the launch of flights to Nuremberg, a new destination for the airline. The expansion includes new services to Nuremberg from London Gatwick Airport, London Luton Airport and Manchester, as well as additional routes to Budapest, Vienna, Krakow, Rabat, Lyon, Sharm El Sheikh, Geneva and Tromso. The announcement brings the total number of new winter routes unveiled by EasyJet in June to 26, following previous expansion that included new services from Manchester to Cairo Sphinx and the carrier's first international route from Newquay to Geneva.
Oman Air will commence daily nonstop flights between Muscat and Abu Dhabi from July 9. Abu Dhabi becomes the carrier’s 49th destination, with the airline saying the new service will support business and leisure travel while providing onward connections through its Muscat hub. Oman Air is also scheduled to begin its first direct service between Dubai and Salalah in July.
Jet2.com plans to expand its presence at London Luton Airport in summer 2027, adding five new routes, basing a fourth aircraft and increasing capacity by 15% year on year. The new destinations are Malaga, Chania, Halkidiki, Dubrovnik and Argostoli on the island of Kefalonia. The carrier is also extending its summer seasons to Corfu and Girona, while adding almost 90,000 seats, taking total summer 2027 capacity from Luton to more than 700,000 seats. The expansion will see Jet2 serve 27 destinations from the airport, with up to 55 weekly departures during peak periods.
Smartwings will add two new routes from Prague for the winter 2026-27 season, launching flights to Venice and Bergen. The Prague-Venice route will begin on Oct. 22 and operate four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Service to Bergen will launch on Oct. 26 with 2X-weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays.
TAAG Angola Airlines has inaugurated scheduled passenger service between Luanda and Guangzhou. Initially operating once a week, flights depart Angola on Tuesdays and return from Guangzhou on Fridays using Boeing 787 aircraft. TAAG says the service will support business travel, tourism, cargo and investment flows while reinforcing Angola's ambition to develop as a gateway between Africa and global markets.
Riyadh Air has launched flights between Riyadh and Cairo, adding its fourth scheduled destination. The route will be operated twice a day using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The airline says the flights will support demand across one of the Middle East's busiest international markets, serving business travelers, tourists, pilgrims and VFR traffic.
