EasyJet has announced 13 new winter 2026-27 routes from 10 UK airports, including the launch of flights to Nuremberg, a new destination for the airline. The expansion includes new services to Nuremberg from London Gatwick Airport, London Luton Airport and Manchester, as well as additional routes to Budapest, Vienna, Krakow, Rabat, Lyon, Sharm El Sheikh, Geneva and Tromso. The announcement brings the total number of new winter routes unveiled by EasyJet in June to 26, following previous expansion that included new services from Manchester to Cairo Sphinx and the carrier's first international route from Newquay to Geneva.

Oman Air will commence daily nonstop flights between Muscat and Abu Dhabi from July 9. Abu Dhabi becomes the carrier’s 49th destination, with the airline saying the new service will support business and leisure travel while providing onward connections through its Muscat hub. Oman Air is also scheduled to begin its first direct service between Dubai and Salalah in July.

Jet2.com plans to expand its presence at London Luton Airport in summer 2027, adding five new routes, basing a fourth aircraft and increasing capacity by 15% year on year. The new destinations are Malaga, Chania, Halkidiki, Dubrovnik and Argostoli on the island of Kefalonia. The carrier is also extending its summer seasons to Corfu and Girona, while adding almost 90,000 seats, taking total summer 2027 capacity from Luton to more than 700,000 seats. The expansion will see Jet2 serve 27 destinations from the airport, with up to 55 weekly departures during peak periods.

Smartwings will add two new routes from Prague for the winter 2026-27 season, launching flights to Venice and Bergen. The Prague-Venice route will begin on Oct. 22 and operate four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. TAAG Angola Airlines has inaugurated scheduled passenger service between Luanda and Guangzhou. Initially operating once a week, flights depart Angola on Tuesdays and return from Guangzhou on Fridays using Boeing 787 aircraft. Riyadh Air has launched flights between Riyadh and Cairo, adding its fourth scheduled destination. The route will be operated twice a day using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The airline says the flights will support demand across one of the Middle East's busiest international markets, serving business travelers, tourists, pilgrims and VFR traffic.
