ROUTES ASIA: Routes Airport Marketing Awards - Final Week to Cast Your Vote!

Airlines from within the Asia region have been voting in the second regional heat of the 2012 Routes Airport Marketing Awards. Winners of the awards, which recognise the marketing performance of airports within Asia, will be announced during the Routes Asia Networking Evening which will be held on Monday 16th April at the event in Chengdu.

Airlines are being asked to consider the efficient use of marketing activities by an airport over the last 12 months when deciding who to nominate. The airport’s market research activities, marketing communications, business case presentations and joint communication campaigns with third parties should all be taken into account when voting in these highly regarded awards.

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) was crowned the winner for the Asia region at last year’s Routes Asia event in Incheon. Speaking at the time, Peter Hoslin, Head of Airline Marketing for ADAC said: “We would like to thank our airline partners for recognising, with this award, Abu Dhabi Airports Company’s long investment in airline marketing. It is something special when the recipients of our marketing activities themselves actually vote for us.”

“Our success is a result of our commitment to offering comprehensive developmental and marketing support to our airline partners on one hand, and the significant contribution of our stakeholders in Abu Dhabi on the other. No Wonder Abu Dhabi is the right place to develop and has the right people to support the airlines,” he added.

The winner from the region will automatically be shortlisted for the World Routes Marketing Awards meaning that the airport does not need votes from outside the region to be shortlisted for the World Awards giving them the chance to win a globally recognised industry award, no matter their size or region.

Already shortlisted for the World Routes Marketing Awards is Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport who were announced as the overall winner of the first regional heat in the Americas last month in Nassau.

VOTE NOW and play an important role in deciding which airport wins one of these widely sought after accolades. Airports should actively campaign their airline customers to ensure that they are voting for them in the Routes Airport Marketing Awards –Asia.
