ROUTES ASIA: The Airline Viewpoint on Network Development

Delegates will be able to gain an insight into the planning structure of airlines, their markets of interest and the relevant information that airlines need to deliver new routes during a series of Route Exchange briefings at this year’s Routes Americas.

Senior route development officials from four airlines and a leading global tour operator will brief the event audience on their network development strategy and what they want to see in an airport approach providing the opportunity for Airport and Tourism Authority delegates to gain an insight into the planning structure of the companies.

This year there are more Route Exchange briefings than ever before and details of the presentations are listed below:

GARUDA INDONESIA
Indonesia’s largest carrier will outline its plan for narrow and widebody expansion within the Asia market from its Jakarta base.

AIR CHINA
Star Alliance member will outlines how it plans to grow its far east network from Beijing which serves over 90 destinations.

FINNAIR
Europe’s largest airline into Asia will discuss its plans for further growth in Asia.

EMIRATES AIRLINE
Emirates briefing will be delivered by Rick Wagstaffe and Anand Lakshminarayanan and will discuss Emirates route development strategy in the Asia region and how it plans to grow its destination reach.

SICHUAN AIRLINES
As well as rapidly growing its domestic network, Sichuan Airlines in now growing its international footprint. An opportunity to hear from one of China’s fastest growing carriers.

CEBU PACIFIC
Their briefing will focus on the Chinese, Middle Eastern and Australian markets. They have A330’s for delivery in 2013 which will allow them to launch long haul services.

HAINAN AIRLINES
At Routes Asia last year, Hainan Airlines’ RX briefing led to new service to Brussels Airport, and the carrier will again outline opportunities for airports wishing to gain a link with China.

SEYCHELLES
A briefing by the Minister of Tourism & Culture, Alain St. Ange about the hosting Routes Africa this year and also the collaboration with the other islands in the Indian Ocean in trying to increase air access.

They will talk about the unserved opportunities for carriers in the Philippines now that there is increased liberalisation over Philippine skies.
