Routes Americas 2012: Vote in Regional Airport Marketing Awards

The Routes Airport Marketing Awards have become synonymous with recognising and rewarding the highest standards of marketing activities undertaken by airports. They work on the core principal that the people who are best placed to judge an airport’s marketing activities are its primary users: The Airline Network Planning Community. We will begin accepting nominations for the Americas region from the first week of January.

Airlines within the Americas region can nominate up to five airports on their network, irrespective of airport size that have made a real impact on their future network development plans since February 2011 (our last Routes Americas event). They will consider the airport's market research activities, the airport's marketing communications, the airport's business case presentations for new market opportunities and the airport's joint communication campaigns with third parties.

Innovative use of technologies or techniques to support their airline by any airport within the Americas will also be considered before airlines place their votes. All votes remain confidential.

When the voting has closed the votes are counted and independently verified and a shortlist of airports within each region of the Americas is formed. These airports are contacted and asked to provide a submission giving their reasons, supported by clear and concise evidence, as to why they think they should be their category winner. A panel of judges then decides on the winners based on their submission papers.

Each of the category winners and the overall winner will be announced at the Routes Airport Marketing Awards – Americas Networking Dinner hosted by Nassau Airport Development Company & Partners on February 20, 2012.

The overall winner will be then be automatically shortlisted for the World Awards which will be held at World Routes, Abu Dhabi later next year.
