Route Development Workshop kicks off Routes Africa today
Routes Africa gets underway in an hour at the Royal Swazi Spa in Swaziland’s Ezulwini Valley, with ASM’s Gordon Bevan leading a Route Development Workshop this afternoon. The workshop will examine route development strategies for the continent and ways in which airlines and airports can work more efficiently together for improved air services.
Then delegates will gather around the Royal Swazi Spa Pool Terrace for the Welcome Reception. The hosts, Sikhuphe International Airport, promise a warm welcome, despite the rainy and cool weather.
Tomorrow will get underway with the Official Opening with one-to-one meetings as well as the Routes Africa Strategy Forum. This year’s event is expected to be larger than last year’s, buoyed by the world’s focus on emerging economies and, of course, the greatest party on earth – the FIFA World Cup – starting in neighbouring South Africa in just over a week.
