Oman Air increases capacity on Salalah routes

To meet increased public demand and ease planning for travellers, Oman Air has increased capacity on its Muscat to Salalah route.

Demand for travel to Salalah during the Khareef (monsoon) season is unprecedented this year, due to the clement weather and the ongoing Salalah Tourism Festival.

Oman Air now operates 35 weekly scheduled flights from Muscat to Salalah, which is seven more than the normal scheduled number.

Abdulrazaq Alraisi, Oman Air General Manager Worldwide Sales, said: “As the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman and Official Carrier of Salalah Tourism Festival, we are providing extra flights to Salalah to cope with the increased demand, largely for Omani families, as well as visitors from GCC countries and beyond.

“We are sure that with these additions, more of our discerning passengers can take a well-deserved break in Salalah, which offers a refreshing respite from the heat, especially for people from the Middle East.”

Oman air is introducing its brand new A330/200 aircraft to Salalah from today.
