New Mid-West to NYC flights from Delta

Delta is set to launch a new twice-daily direct service between Kansas City International (KCI) and New York La Guardia from March and will add a new flight to its New York–JFK hub in April.

"Given the economic climate, we are enthused with this increase in service and greatly appreciate Delta’s commitment to the Kansas City market,” said Mark VanLoh, director of aviation for the Kansas City Aviation Department. “Nearly 400,000 passengers flew between Kansas City and the New York area last year. This additional service will greatly improve travel options for business and leisure travellers alike.”

According to US Department of Transportation data, Kansas City is currently the most popular destination from the New York City area that does not have service to/from JFK.
