What do you do at ASM Americas?
I assist our partner airports with air service and business development initiatives. I serve as a liaison between airports and airlines working closely with communities to identify and develop their unique market position.
What are the best parts of your job?
I would say the ability to work and interact with unique and interesting people on a global scale is what I enjoy most. I also enjoy the freedom of applying a certain level creativity when it comes to developing and implementing strategic initiatives for our partner airports and communities.
How did you get into the industry?
Long story short….I developed a curiosity and passion for flight at a very early age. I started out as a pilot then transitioned to airports, working first in the operational side of the airport business. I then had a unique opportunity to move over to a business development and marketing role and the rest is history.
What are you most looking forward to at Routes Americas?
The people, the place (I've never been to Quito), and productive meetings.
What’s your favourite place in the world and why?
I still have a lot of ground to cover but at the present moment I would have to say Iceland. I had the opportunity to visit last year and was absolutely amazed at the countries natural beauty, history, and culture. I also equally enjoyed spending some time at Keflavik Airport (now one of my favorite airports).
