Korean Air A380s to Debut on Tokyo and Hong Kong Routes

KOREAN AIR has revealed the entry into service plans for its new Airbus A380s, although the proposed launch schedule remains subject to change. The South Korean carrier is due to receive five aircraft by the end of this year with the remaining five following by 2014. The first is planned to go into service on the Seoul Incheon - Tokyo route on 01JUN11 operating Seoul-Incheon - Hong Kong later the same day after its return from Japan. After delivery of additional aircraft, the type will be introduced on a daily Seoul Incheon - Bangkok schedule from 01JUL11, on some Seoul Incheon - New York JFK rotations from 02AUG11 (before increasing to daily from 01SEP11) and a daily Seoul Incheon - Los Angeles link from 01OCT11.
