Jin Air launches first international route
Low-cost South Korean operator Jin Air has started its first international service.
Passengers now have more choice of airline when travelling between Seoul Incheon to Bangkok, where Jin Air will fly on a daily basis using a B737-800.
There are a number of carriers operating between Incheon and Bangkok:
- Korean Air 15x weekly flights
- Thai Airways 14x weekly flights
- Asiana Airlines 7x weekly flights
- Skystar Airways 7x weekly flights
Even with considerable competition on the route, Jin Air will look to attract new passengers through an aggressive pricing structure.
In the last 12 months, 965,000 passengers have flown between the city pairs. Thai International has the largest market share with 17% of all reported flown passengers.
