Jetstar Airways - Looking at Long-Haul Expansion

Based in Melbourne, Australia, Qantas' low-cost subsidiary Jetstar operates an extensive domestic and regional network, with some international services and is reportedly considering serving new destinations in China, Europe and North America. While its sister airline, Jetstar Asia flies within a five hour radius of Singapore.

Based at Melbourne's Tullamarine and Avalon airport, Jetstar's services link Australian cities with destinations in Hawaii, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Network Strategy

With operations in Australia and Singapore, Jetstar offers narrow and widebody services and a low-fares product in the Asia Pacific market. Jetstar Asia serves 14 destinations from its Singapore base, while Jetstar flies to 33 destinations. Its largest operation is to Sydney with 289 weekly flights.
