IndiGo and Turkish Airlines are growing their codeshare agreement, with the Indian LCC’s passengers gaining access to Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) in Morocco.

IndiGo from July 24 will add its code to Turkish’s daily flights between Istanbul Airport (IST) and CMN. The Indian airline says in a statement that it now places its code on Turkish flights to 38 destinations beyond IST.

Turkish and IndiGo facilitate connections by placing their codes on each other’s flights between New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport and IST.

“The daily flight from Istanbul to Casablanca will seamlessly connect our passengers and offer them affordable flight options to explore yet another captivating destination,” IndiGo Head of Global Sales Vinay Malhotra says.

IndiGo says there is “soaring demand for travel to Africa,” and from Aug. 5, the carrier will open daily flights between Mumbai and Nairobi, Kenya, marking its entrance to the African market. “IndiGo is poised to become a major player in the African aviation market,” the airline says.

IndiGo added its code on Turkish flights from IST to four U.S. destinations in June, including Boston, Chicago O’Hare, New York JFK and Washington Dulles.
