Hamad International Airport Scales With Qatar’s Tourism Growth

Hamad International Airport served a total of 52.7 million passengers in 2024, and the momentum has carried into 2025, with Q3 being recorded as the busiest quarter in its history.

The airport is pivotal in strengthening Qatar’s position as a destination of choice. With around five million tourists recorded in 2024, DOH is well placed to convert its large transfer passenger base into visitors, serving as the gateway to a country that offers rich cultural experiences and hosts major international sporting events like Formula 1 and FIFA Arab Cup 2025.

Hamad International Airport connects to almost 200 world-wide destinations through over 58 airline partners, and is among the most connected hubs in the world. With the current capacity to serve over 65 million passengers per year, it is set to expand further in line with Qatar’s tourism ambitions.
