VALENCIA GAINS NIKI

Austrian operator Niki has revealed plans to launch a twice weekly service from Vienna to Valencia beginning February 3rd next year. The new route will be operated with a mix of E-190 and A320 equipment. IATA BSP data shows that over 16,000 O+D passengers flew this sector between May 2009-10 with Air Berlin (which has a 49% ownership of Niki) carrying 32% of these passengers via Palma de Mallorca.


COLOGNE BAGS AIR ARABIA MAROC130810-airarabia

Air Arabia's Morrocan division will begin non-stop services to the German city of Cologne effective November 4th with a thrice weekly rotation. It will be the first scheduled service to Germany for Air Arabia Maroc, which is also increasing its existing services to Amsterdam and Basle.

SkyTeam member Air France will launch a four times daily service from Paris Orly to Nantes from October 31st. The new services will be operated with VLM's Fokker 50 equipment. Air France currently serves Nantes from Charles de Gaulle 28 times weekly with larger A318/319/320 equipment.


EASYJET ADDS NEW ROUTES FOR THIS WINTER

Luton based budget carrier has unveiled several new routes for this coming winter season. The new routes consist of;

  • Lisbon - Barcelona Daily effective 31st October 2010
    Amsterdam - Barcelona Daily effective November 1st.
  • Paris CDG - Zagreb four times weekly effective 01 November 10
  • Cologne - Edinburgh four times weekly effective 26 November 10
  • Paris CDG - Ljubljana thrice weekly effective 02nd December 10
  • Milan Malpensa - Ljubljana thrice weekly effective 08 December 10
  • Belfast - Malta twice weekly effective 11 February, 2011
  • London Gatwick - Zagreb four times weekly 11 February, 2011
