And Finally...Virgin Passenger Requests

Most passengers like to relax with a book or to take advantage of the in-flight entertainment when they fly. However, according to a recent survey of over 3,000 members of Virgin Atlantic Airways’ cabin crew, this is not always the case. The UK airline has compiled a selection of the strangest, most unusual requests its staff have received over the past few years. These range from the foolish… “Please can you open the window?” and “Could you turn the engines down as they are too noisy?”… to the bizarre… “Can you take my children to the playroom?" and "Is there a McDonald’s onboard?”

Other notable requests included:

* Please can I have a cup of tea and book a massage for my Barbie doll?

* Please could you fix my hair?

* I have dropped my glass eye, please could you help me find it?

* Please can the captain stop the turbulence?

“Virgin Atlantic crew will always go that extra mile to offer our customers the best possible service," said Caroline Lynam, Customer Relations Manager, Virgin Atlantic Airways, “but there are some requests that even we find somewhat challenging.”
