Etihad to Start Double Daily Service from Manchester
ETIHAD AIRWAYS, the UAE’s national airline, will double its flight frequency between Manchester and Abu Dhabi from 01AUG11 from seven to 14 flights each week. The news is a further capacity boost following the announcement earlier this year that the airline would increase from a daily to 10 flights a week from August. Alongside Manchester, Etihad has 21 flights per week to Abu Dhabi from London Heathrow.
Etihad continues to build its commitment to Manchester and the North West region of England following the opening of its First and Business Class lounge at Manchester Airport in November 2010. “The frequency increase illustrates how Etihad has firmly established itself in the North West of England and that we are now the airline of choice for business and leisure travellers, whether flying to Abu Dhabi or transferring through to destinations in the east, such as Australia, Thailand and Japan," said James Hogan, Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Airways.
