Ethiopian to go daily on London Heathrow-Addis Ababa from July

Ethiopian Airlines has announced the start of daily flights from London Heathrow to Addis Ababa from July 8, 2014 when a new Tuesday evening service is added to the schedule.

The new departure leaves London Heathrow at 21:00hrs arriving at the capital’s Bole International Airport at 07:00hrs. The Addis service departs at 13:00hrs, arriving LHR at 19:00hrs. Ethiopian started operations to London on April 1, 1973 and has been providing uninterrupted service to and from the city for more than 40 years.

Ethiopian CEO Tewolde Gebremariam, said: “We are very happy to finally be able to offer a daily service to our customers to and from London, one of our most important routes. We have been constrained to six weekly flights daily but from July our leisure and business customers can enjoy a greater flexibility with our state-of-the-art Boeing 787s affording ultimate on-board comfort with much reduced noise, the largest windows in the sky, dimmable lights, higher ceiling and higher cabin humidity.”
