Emirates welcomes Saudi domestic market
Dubai's flagship carrier Emirates has welcomed Saudi Arabia's decision to consider allowing foreign carriers to operate domestic flights within the Kingdom, and said that it is studying this move in depth, AME info has reported.
Ahmed Khoury, Emirates' senior vice president for the GCC, Middle East and Iran has told Saudi Arabic language daily Al-Eqtisadiah that Riyadh's decision is a "positive development", adding that the company is still waiting for more details from Saudi Arabia but has no immediate plans for entering the market.
