German leisure carrier Condor will expand its Middle East network next summer with new daily flights from Frankfurt and Berlin to Abu Dhabi, enabled through a strategic partnership and codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways.

A Frankfurt-Abu Dhabi service will begin May 1, 2026, followed by Berlin-Abu Dhabi on June 15. Frankfurt flights will be operated daily with A330s, while Berlin will be served daily with A320neos. The move marks the airline’s first operation to the Gulf using its A330neo fleet.

“This codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways is the great foundation on which we are building our new services to Abu Dhabi to better connect Germany’s capital Berlin and Europe's financial hub Frankfurt to the GCC and beyond,” says Jens Boyd, Condor’s commercial director and executive committee member.

Etihad plans to place its code on Condor’s new Abu Dhabi routes, while Condor passengers will gain access to Etihad’s long-haul network from Zayed International Airport. Etihad currently operates 2X-daily between Frankfurt and Abu Dhabi, while Eurowings flies 3X-weekly between Berlin and Abu Dhabi—a route launched in November.

“Germany is a vital market for Etihad, and adding Berlin alongside new Frankfurt options meets clear passenger demand—including a direct capital-to-capital link that further strengthens UAE-Germany ties,” says Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer Arik De.

The agreement will expand Condor’s presence in the Middle East, where it currently serves Dubai from Berlin (daily) and Stuttgart (4X-weekly), along with 2X-weekly Düsseldorf–Beirut flights.

The move comes after Condor earlier this month signed a partnership with Southwest Airlines. New transatlantic options under the agreement will begin Jan. 19, providing same-ticket connections for inbound international travelers via Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco and Seattle.

Other new Condor routes planned for 2026 include a 3X-daily service between Frankfurt and London Gatwick from April 1, followed by flights from Frankfurt to Barcelona, Budapest and Venice starting in May.
