China Airlines Reveals Seoul Gimpo Operation Plan
Based on latest schedule listing in the GDS on 23MAR12, Taiwan's China Airlines is set to resume Taipei Song Shan - Seoul Gimpo service from 30APR12, after 33 years. The airline is operating thrice weekly flights on board Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Reservation for this flight will within the next few days.
Taiwan and South Korea in late-2011 signed a revised bilateral deal, which permits carriers from both sides to operate Taipei Song Shan - Seoul Gimpo route. South Korea has designated this route to low-cost carrier T'Way Airlines and EastarJet, while Taiwan grants the right to China Airlines and EVA Airways.
CI operated Taipei Song Shan - Seoul Gimpo until 1978, when the new Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (previously known as Chiang Kai-Shek International) entered operation for international flights in 1979.
