China Airlines to go daily on Nagoya

Taipei based China Airlines will now fly daily from Taipei to Nagoya from August 31st. Service had been reduced to a 5x weekly route in September 2009, with a 6th weekly added earlier this month.

China Airlines competes on the sector with the following carriers;

• Eva Air 5x weekly MD 90 equipment
• Cathay Pacific 7x weekly A330 equipment
• JAL 7x weekly B737 equipment

IATA BSP data shows that 374,000 O+D passengers have flown the route between March 09-10, with Cathay Pacific having a 35% market share from its Singapore originating aircraft.
