Asiana increases Philippine routes

Star Alliance member, Asiana, will increase existing scheduled services from its Seoul Incheon base to Cebu and Manila in the Philippines. From December 15th, 2010 until 27 February 2011, it will increase service to Manila from a 14 weekly service to a 17 times-weekly service. During the same period, Asiana will go double daily on Cebu. Asiana faces competition on the Manila sector from Korean Air which operates 14 weekly, Philippine Airlines also operates14 times weekly and Cebu Pacific which operates a daily service. On Cebu, the same carriers also serve the route from Incheon with the addition of Zest Air which operates a four times weekly service.
