London Luton Airport (LTN) completed the first element of an £11.5 million ($15.4 million) project to repurpose three hangars previously used by Monarch Airlines. LTN acquired the hangars in 2024. The first hangar has been turned into a facility to consolidate the delivery of retail supplies to more than 50 shops and restaurants at the airport. The consolidation center is “expected to reduce vehicle movements and emissions across the airport campus,” LTN said. The second hangar will be repurposed into an easyJet apprenticeship training center for aspiring engineers. The third hangar will be turned into aircraft engineering and maintenance facilities.
Nashville International Airport (BNA) started a $40 million renovation project on June 1 to expand and upgrade terminal entrance areas. The project will increase the number of escalators from six to 16 “to create seamless movement between ground transportation and baggage claim,” BNA said. The airport will also double elevator capacity by adding an elevator and replacing the two existing elevators.

Swiss firm Drufy International won the contract to manage RIX’s duty-free retail area and the airport’s food and beverage outlets. The Miller Group, based in Malta, will manage the airport’s retail shops. TAV Latvia Operations Services re-signed a contract to continue overseeing RIX’s lounges. The contracts take effect on Jan. 1, 2027.
Denver International Airport (DEN) will build an underground pedestrian walkway connecting concourses A, B and C. The walkway will complement DEN’s terminal train system, the airport said. DEN said it is finalizing project details and plans to begin construction in 2027. United Airlines operates a hub at DEN. "United is Denver's largest airline and we operate on two concourses at DEN," said United Vice President for Airport Operations Jonna McGrath. "The addition of pedestrian walkways at DEN is a significant investment and will give our customers more options for their connecting flights."
