Airline In Focus: Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is the flag carrier of Qatar, operating to more than 160 destinations through its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport. 

The airline carried more than 41.8 million passengers in FY2025/26, while Qatar Airways Group reported a post-tax profit of QAR7.08 billion ($1.94 billion). The group is preparing for further growth after signing agreements with Boeing and GE Aerospace covering up to 210 aircraft and 400 engines. 

Qatar Airways is also a major player in air freight, with its cargo division transporting 1.43 million tonnes of chargeable weight during the year.

Oneworld member Qatar Airways is one of the airlines registered to attend the Routes World 2026 event in Frankfurt, Germany.
