Airline CEOs Register for World Routes in Las Vegas!

World Routes is the largest and most important commercial aviation networking forum of its kind and the event attracts senior air service development decision makers from all over the globe.

This year’s event, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada on 5-8 October 2013, will be co-hosted by Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Las Vegas McCarran International Airport and already over 190 of the world’s airlines have registered with over 300 expected to attend the event, many with very senior delegations.

Early indications show that the seniority of airline delegates attending this year’s event will be higher than ever with confirmations already received from James Hogan, CEO of Etihad Airways, Christoph Mueller, CEO of Aer Lingus, Akbar Al-Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, Estuardo Ortiz, Chief Operating Officer & Executive VP of Avianca and Enrique Beltranena, CEO of Volaris who will be joined by the carriers Chief Commercial Officer, Holger Blankenstein. In addition to an impressive turnout from the global airline community World Routes in Las Vegas will also see senior representation from the alliances as Cuitlahuac Gutierrez, VP Alliance Operations for SkyTeam and Dennis A. Tierney, Vice President - Membership and Customer Experience for oneworld have also confirmed their attendance at the event.

A wide variety of carriers will attend the 19thWorld Route Development Forum which will welcome delegates from many of the world’s full service carriers such as; Air France, British Airways, KLM, Iberia Airlines, Thai Airways International, Vietnam Airlines, Japan Airlines, Qantas Airways, Air China, Hainan Airlines and All Nippon Airways. In addition, the low cost sector will also be well represented with registrations received from easyJet, Norwegian.com, Southwest (the world’s largest Low Cost Carrier), Jetstar Airways and the AirAsia Group amongst many others.

There will be a large presence from the Americas region with the domestic US market very strong. Registrations to date from the region include American Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, Delta Air Lines, Allegiant Air, Alaska Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country Airlines and Virgin America, who will make their inaugural appearance at World Routes. From Africa registrations have already been received from FastJet, who are developing a Pan-African network, along with four of the top five African carriers by Available Seat Kilometres (ASK); South African Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways and Egyptair.
