AirCargoGermany Launches Flight to Lima

European freight specialist AirCargoGermany has launched services between Frankfurt and Lima, the only direct cargo connection from Peru to Europe. The airline is offering a weekly Boeing 747-400F link between the two cities every Wednesday with the first flight taking place this week on December 28.

This historical step shows the importance of the Peruvian market to the European Community and it helps the producers of mangoes, asparagus, pineaple and also the high fashion textile industry to have their products next day in the European stores,” said Frank Ziesemer, President & Chief Executive Officer, Strike Aviation Group, which is acting as AirCargoGermany’s GSA in Peru.

“The Peruvian economy still groves more than the rest of the countries in the Americas and additional capacity was demanded by the local export industry to satifsfy the demand,” he added.
