AirAsia in India expansion

Air Asia has announced significant expansion from its Kuala Lumpur base to five new markets in India, whilst also adding a scheduled service from Penang to Chennai.

AirAsia currently serves three markets in India and will inaugrate new scheduled services to the following markets from KUL:

• Kuala Lumpur- Mumbai 4x weekly rotation with A320 equipment effective 06 May
• Kuala Lumpur- Chennai 1x daily rotation A320 effective 17 May
• Kuala Lumpur- Bangalore 1x daily rotation A320 effective 20 May
• Kuala Lumpur- Hyderabad 1x daily rotation A320 effective 20 Jul
• Kuala Lumpur- Delhi 1x daily rotation A320 effective 04 Aug

• KUL- MAA Malaysia Airlines 14x weekly (A330-200, B737-400), Jet Airways 14x weekly (A330-200, B737), Air India 7x weekly (A320), Air India Express 7x weekly (B737-800).
• KUL-BLR Air India 2x weekly, Jet Airways 2x weekly, Malaysia Airlines 2x weekly (All B737-800)
