Air Greenland and First Air to Cooperate on Canada - Greenland Service

Air Greenland and Canadian carrier First Air has inked a codeshare deal, which will be in effect this summer.

From 18JUN12 to 03SEP12, Air Greenland will begin twice weekly Nuuk - Iqaluit service on board Dash8-200 turboprop aircraft. This marks the end of no non-stop air service between Canada's Nunavut Territory and Greenland since First Air ended its operation in early-2000s.

Under the codeshare pact, Air Greenland’s “GL” code will be displayed on First Air’s Iqaluit – Ottawa srvice, while First Air’s “7F” appears on airgreenland’s Iqaluit – Nuuk route.
