Air Berlin to trim long haul fleet

Air Berlin will reduce its long haul fleet from 14 to 10 aircraft over the next two years as the carriers seeks to rationalise its network and focus more on short haul flying. Air Berlin currently operates over 20 destinations in its medium/long haul network to destinations in the US, such as Miami and Fort Myers as well as destinations in Asia and Africa such as Bangkok and Cape Town.The carrier uses A330-200 aircraft on its long haul flights.
