Air Baltic adds three new routes from Riga

Latvian flag carrier, Air Baltic will introduce three new services from its Riga hub which will commence from May next year. The new routes are;

  • Riga- Belgrade effective May5th on a 4x weekly basis
  • Riga- Madrid effective 02 June on a 4x weekly basis
  • Riga- Vaasa effective May 30, daily rotation

Belgrade and Madrid will be operated with B737 aircraft and Vaasa (Finland) with Fokker 50 aircraft for the shortrt sector.

None of these routes currently have any scheduled service operating the route. Air Baltic is the the largest carrier in Riga with 460 weekly flights, giving it a market share of 77%. Ryanair is the second largest operator there.
