The French carrier, Air Austral, has once again resumed flights between Isle La Reunion and Seychelles, as of Monday.The bi-weekly flights, operated aboard a Boeing 737 800, will take approximately 2 hours 40 minutes and serve to encourage travel and business commuting between the two island states, as well provide tourists from farther afield with enhanced multi-destination travel options within the Indian Ocean region.
According to a communiqué from the company, “Air Austral is aiming to improve customer accessibility and meet travel demand in overseas gateways through Reunion and connect with countries of the region as well as Europe's major cities via Paris.”
Local destination management company, Mason's Travel, has been appointed the official General Sales Agent for Seychelles.
Speaking to the press, Managing Director of Mason's Travel, Mr Alan Mason, said, “We welcome the opportunity to work with Air Austral and look forward to being a part of increasing airlink connectivity in the region. We aim to see an increase in leisure and business travel between the two island nations, as well as the opportunity of welcoming guests from abroad who now have the option to enjoy multi-destination vacations to both Reunion and Seychelles.”
