Hong Kong’s privacy commissioner is launching an investigation of Cathay Pacific because of a recent high-profile data security breach that affected millions of customers.

Icelandair agreed to buy local rival WOW Air Nov. 5 in a move that could end a battle for dominance at both carriers’ Keflavik home base. The airlines will maintain their brands and operate as separate entities following different models, according to the takeover agreement.

Global air freight demand grew by 2% in September from the year-earlier period, flat from August, but less than half the five-year average growth rate of 5.1%.
