New Yemeni airline FlyAden has officially taken delivery of its first aircraft, an Airbus A320, at Aden International Airport, marking a significant milestone for the country’s aviation sector.

The aircraft was previously operated by Royal Jordanian and is seen as a key step toward restoring Yemen’s international air connectivity after years of disruption.

FlyAden currently serves Cairo and plans to expand its network to include Amman, Jordan, and a Saudi Arabian destination later this year, following the expected arrival of a second A320. The airline also plans to offer Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage flights.

Established in 2024, the airline began operations in November 2025, initially using a wet-leased Boeing 737-800 from Red Sea Airlines.

FlyAden plans to gradually increase its fleet and expand its flight network on an annual basis, the carrier said.
