SINGAPORE—Tigerair Taiwan, an LCC, is extending its all-Airbus narrowbody fleet with four A321neos, marking its first order for the new-generation type.

The firm order was signed at the Singapore Airshow on Wednesday.

Taoyuan Airport-based Tigerair Taiwan was initially formed as a JV between Taiwan-based China Airlines Group and Mandarin Airlines alongside Singapore-based Tiger Airways Holdings. It currently operates nine Airbus A320ceos and eight A320neos.

“The purchase of A321neo aircraft is a cornerstone of our third-generation fleet expansion, designed to maximize operational efficiency as we scale for regional dominance,” Tigerair Taiwan Chairperson Joyce Huang said.

The A321neos will be configured with 232 seats.
