WestJet and Kenya Airways have entered into a new interline partnership, expanding connectivity across Africa and North America. The agreement allows WestJet passengers to travel to Nairobi and 35 additional destinations across Africa, with single-ticket itineraries and through-checked baggage via key hubs including Paris, Amsterdam, London Heathrow, London Gatwick and New York JFK. In turn, Kenya Airways passengers will gain single-stop access to Calgary, Halifax, St. John’s and Toronto, with onward connections to 69 destinations across North America.


Italian leisure airline Neos announced plans to expand its Middle East network with new nonstop services to Oman starting this October. The carrier will launch weekly Milan Malpensa–Muscat flights from Oct. 24. In addition, Neos will begin weekly seasonal flights to Salalah from Milan Malpensa, Rome and Verona starting Oct. 26.


Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has increased flight frequencies to Multan and Faisalabad, Pakistan. Service to Multan has risen from two to five flights per week, with daily operations beginning in September, while flights to Faisalabad have doubled from two to four per week. The frequency boost follows the recent launch of a direct route to Sialkot, expanding the airline’s footprint in Pakistan. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates a fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft.

JetBlue is expanding in South Florida with an expansion at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), adding four new routes, boosting frequencies on U.S. domestic services and adding its Mint premium service across more flights. Starting this winter, the airline will launch nonstop service to four destinations: Norfolk (5X-weekly) and Tampa (1X-daily) beginning Dec. 4, along with Atlanta (1X-daily) and Austin (2X-daily), which return to the network on Dec. 4 and Nov. 20, respectively. JetBlue is also increasing daily frequencies to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Raleigh-Durham and Richmond, with additional Mint-equipped flights to the West Coast. By December, JetBlue will operate up to 95 daily departures to 37 destinations from FLL, including 13 daily Mint flights.


Wizz Air is expanding its UK operations with the launch of three new winter routes from London Luton Airport beginning Oct. 26. The airline will add daily service to Vienna and 11X-weekly flights to both Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino. Additionally, Wizz will introduce five new Spanish routes for summer 2026, starting March 29. The expansion includes daily flights to Madrid, 10X-weekly to Barcelona and additional service to Bilbao, Valencia and Seville. All routes will be operated with Airbus A321neo aircraft.


Emirates will begin operating its newly refurbished Boeing 777 aircraft on flights to Madrid from Sept. 16, making the Spanish capital the airline’s first destination in Spain to receive the upgraded four-class configuration. The move forms part of the airline’s retrofit program, which has already upgraded 61 aircraft and aims to enhance more than 220.


Aeroitalia and Qatar Airways have signed an interline agreement that will expand connectivity between Italy and Qatar. The partnership allows passengers to book connecting itineraries, linking Qatar Airways’ Doha hub with Aeroitalia destinations such as Catania, Palermo, Comiso, Cagliari and Olbia via Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa. “The agreement with Qatar Airways represents a key milestone in Aeroitalia's international growth journey,” Aeroitalia CCO Massimo Di Perna says.

Hawaiian Airlines will boost its winter 2025-26 schedule with expanded service on key routes to meet high seasonal demand, including additional flights between Honolulu and Los Angeles, Seattle and Sydney. Service between Honolulu and Sydney will increase to daily from Dec. 18 to Jan. 31, while a fifth daily flight to Los Angeles using Airbus A321neos will be added during peak U.S. holiday travel periods in November and December. The airline is also upgrading its Honolulu–Seattle route with a fourth daily widebody flight from late November through mid-April, replacing existing A321neo narrowbody aircraft. Combined with Alaska Airlines’ services, the route will offer six daily flights. Starting in January, Hawaiian will also operate Boeing 787 flights between Seattle and Tokyo Narita.


Brazil’s Gol Linhas Aéreas will launch new weekly flights in November connecting Fortaleza to Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, and Montevideo, Uruguay. With the new services, the airline will operate four international flights from Fortaleza, including two to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and one to Orlando. The Foz do Iguaçu route is expected to boost demand for travel to the tri-border region of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina, increasing domestic flight capacity by 16%.


Air China has commenced a new route between Urumqi, China, and Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The new service operates three times a week—on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays—and follows the earlier launch of Beijing-Tashkent flights. “The opening of the flight between Urumqi and Tashkent is another step toward strengthening aviation cooperation between China and Uzbekistan,” a statement from the airline says. “We are confident that this route will contribute to the expansion of business and tourism ties.”


Japan’s StarFlyer will begin service between Fukuoka and Sendai starting Oct. 3, 2025. The domestic route will initially operate one roundtrip flight per day through Oct. 25, increasing to two per day by the end of the month.

LOT Polish Airlines has announced its readiness to resume regular flights to Ukraine once permitted to do so. Before the war, LOT operated 90 weekly flights to six Ukrainian cities, with 70% of passengers transferring via Warsaw. Ukraine represented a quarter of the airline’s international transit traffic. The carrier says it can restart operations within six weeks of confirmed readiness, prioritizing Kyiv and Lviv before expanding to other destinations based on infrastructure conditions. LOT also plans to launch regional flights from major Polish cities, using up to four Boeing 737-8 aircraft. The airline aims to serve up to 800,000 passengers annually, including the 1.5 million Ukrainians currently living in Poland.


JetBlue has resumed nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida and José Joaquín de Olmedo Airport in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The U.S. airline now offers daily flights on the route, enhancing air connectivity between Ecuador and South Florida. Flights are operated using a mix of aircraft, including Airbus A220s and A320s.


Indian LCC IndiGo launched commercial operations from Hindon Airport, marking its second base in the National Capital Region after New Delhi. The airline will operate direct flights from Hindon to nine major cities—Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna and Varanasi—with nearly 70 weekly departures. The move is aimed at improving travel for residents of Ghaziabad, Noida, East and Central Delhi, and parts of western Uttar Pradesh. India’s Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu attended the launch and says the initiative strengthens regional connectivity under the country’s UDAN scheme.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, a joint venture between Etihad Airways and Air Arabia, has launched direct flights between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport and Sialkot, Pakistan, expanding its network in the South Asian market. The new service operates three times per week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays using Airbus A320 aircraft. The route marks the airline’s third destination in Pakistan, joining existing services to Multan and Faisalabad. “The launch of direct flights to Sialkot underscores our continued commitment to expanding Air Arabia Abu Dhabi's network through strategic connections from the UAE capital,” Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali says.


Emirates is adding third daily flights to both Dublin and Mauritius this winter season. From Oct. 26, the airline will operate 21X-weekly flights to Dublin using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration. From Dec. 1, the carrier will also introduce a third daily flight to Mauritius, operated using 777s. Emirates currently serves Mauritius twice a day using Airbus A380s. “We recently reaffirmed our codeshare partnership with Air Mauritius and our shared commitment to putting the destination on the global stage by facilitating steady growth in tourist demand for visits to Mauritius,” says Emirates’ Deputy President and CCO Adnan Kazim.


Turkey’s AJet will begin nonstop flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Aleppo, Syria, on Aug. 2, operating four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights will depart Istanbul at 6.20 a.m. and return from Aleppo at 9.15 a.m.
