Boeing has increased the average list prices of its commercial airliners a collective 2.9%, according to new figures released by the US manufacturer. The aircraft behind Boeing’s 2014’s largest commercial aircraft order—the 777-9X—rose in price from $388.7 million in 2014 to $400 million in 2015. It is Boeing’s costliest commercial aircraft. In July 2014, Dubai-based Emirates Airline ordered 115 of the type.

Kazakhstan-based regional carrier Qazaq Air, a subsidiary of Samruk Kazyna, Kazakhstan’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, has announced that it will launch domestic services in Kazakhstan with three Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft leased from Falcon Aviation Services LLC of Abu Dhabi.

The Taiwanese Aviation Safety Council (ASC) report on the fatal crash of TransAsia Airways flight GE235 in February has detailed the captain’s voice on the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) as saying, “Wow, pulled back the wrong side throttle,” seconds before impact.

Lufthansa said its 33 very large aircraft (VLA)—the Airbus A380 and Boeing-747-8I—is a good number for the company but does not expect to add more, Lufthansa Group chairman & CEO Carsten Spohr told ATW in Warsaw.
