THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES have narrowed its search for 80 new fighters to the Lockheed Martin F-16 and Dassault Aviation Rafale, eliminating the McDonnell Douglas F-15 as a candidate. The deal could be worth $6 billion, and may be the last major fighter buy of the century, industry officials believe.
