Construction of a new federal inspection services facility will pace the way for Tulsa’s first scheduled international flights.

The carrier is currently operating a network focused on short-haul routes in the eastern half of the US.

The carrier is also resuming a slew of grounded routes next summer.

The US carrier will launch eight new routes as competition in Miami intensifies.

The Texas-based carrier will add 10 domestic routes and four international routes from the state's capital.

A total of 39 largely unserved routes will be offered by the airline, with the first service starting before the end of May.

The US Federal Aviation Administration is to award $770.8m in airport infrastructure grants to more than 500 airports.
