France’s flag-carrier is opening a second route to the UK capital this summer and has received the green light to begin codesharing with Italy’s ITA on transatlantic routes to the US.

The latest agreements further enlarge the reach of the alliance’s member airlines.

American, Delta and United have all been forced by the CAAC to temporarily suspend routes to China.

The codeshare agreement follows Aer Lingus’ entry to the oneworld transatlantic joint venture in late 2020.

The CAAC is also forcing the cancellation of US-to-China flights by American, United and Chinese airlines under its COVID-19 testing rule.

The carrier said it is unable to maintain its planned schedule because of high levels of infected staff.

Alongside BA’s latest transatlantic plans for summer 2022, Atlantic Joint Business partners American Airlines, Finnair, Iberia and LEVEL are also increasing connectivity between the US and Europe.

Despite the delayed aircraft deliveries, the carrier will start service between New York JFK and Doha in June 2022.

The carrier has postponed the start of the SEA-BLR route multiple times.

International Airlines Group and Delta Air Lines are among those reporting a surge in demand on transatlantic routes ahead of the Nov. 8 US reopening.

The carrier will make Miami its 100th nonstop destination from Seattle.

Seattle-based Alaska said it has added 188 codeshare routes since joining oneworld in March.

The carrier will also increase flying to other Ohio cities next summer, when it aims to restore pre-pandemic capacity levels.

The planned codeshare on US routes follows an agreement signed earlier this month.

The Seattle-based carrier’s CEO said Alaska will be operating full pre-pandemic capacity by next summer.

The added seasonal route will be part of Singapore’s vaccinated travel lane program.

The agreement covers 29 domestic routes across India and comes as American Airlines prepares to begin flying to Delhi and Bengaluru.

The carrier’s fifth freedom flights will carry on to Singapore.

Flights to New York are being added to the German leisure carrier’s network from November.

Additional frequencies are being added by the Japanese carrier on select international routes as passenger traffic recovers.

The long-haul services will now start in January; American still plans to launch a New York JFK-Delhi route on Oct. 31.

Virgin Australia’s new seasonal flights to Launceston, Wizz Air adding connections from Hungary and Romania and Saudia returning to Manchester are among the latest new route announcements and services resuming.

The airline wants to use its hubs, regardless of geographic location, to build unique route itineraries for passengers.
