Azerbaijan Airlines and other carriers have suspended flights to several destinations in Russia following the crash of one of the carrier's Embraer 190s.
An Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 carrying 62 passengers and five crew crashed while attempting to land at Aktau Airport Kazakhstan on the morning of Dec. 25.
A “vendor technology issue” briefly grounded American Airlines flights on Dec. 24, the disruption landing in the middle of a busy holiday travel period.
While airlines object to added costs, the government maintains they are needed to clarify rules that are "overly complex and/or unclear" for passengers.
