Embraer Doubles North American E-Jet Support With New MRO Facility In Fort Worth, TX
Embraer will open a new owned service center at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas, in the second quarter of 2025. The complex will double the company’s North American MRO capacity to serve E-Jet operators in the USA, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The new complex will complement Embraer’s current MRO services at its EAMS Tennessee facilities in Nashville and La Vergne, and Georgia redelivery center in Macon.
The Fort Worth base will open in two phases. MRO services will start in an existing hangar in the second quarter of 2025 while a second state-of-the-art hangar will be built and ready by 2027.
Meeting Growing Demand
The expanded capability is welcome news for Embraer commercial aircraft customers in North America who fly some 950 E-Jets. Demand for MRO services is growing now that the industry has recovered from the contraction during the pandemic, aircraft are flying more, and carriers are stepping up maintenance. At EAMS, for example, all nine lines at its Nashville unit were sold out in 2024.
Investment-Partnerships-Incentives
Embraer is investing up to US$70 million in the project and has partnered with state and private businesses, including Hillwood, a real estate investment and development company. The City of Fort Worth, Denton County, and the State of Texas are also supporting the venture. The Fort Worth City Council approved incentives for the project that will create about 250 new skilled aviation jobs in the city and North Texas.
Embraer’s Worldwide Support Network
The new Fort Worth MRO expands Embraer’s global support network of 80 authorized centers and 12 owned service centers.
