ORLANDO—JetNet, a Uttica, New York-based provider of aviation data and market intelligence, has acquired Asset Insight, an aviation-focused materials and equipment valuation services firm, the company announced during the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).

The acquisition is the first of several anticipated acquisitions for JetNet, as the company expands its data-driven products following a majority investment by Silversmith Capital Partners, the company says. The deal with Asset Insight was finalized Oct. 18. The terms were not disclosed.

Tony Kioussis, Asset Insight president and CEO, will remain with the company. Asset Insight offers valuation, aviation auditing and consulting services. It also offers a real-time evaluation tool called eValues.

“We’ve had the opportunity to work with Asset Insights as a partner over the course of many years and know how strategic the company’s valuation and cost-of-ownership products are to our customer base,” says JetNet CEO Greg Fell.
