Aviation Week Wins Five Aerospace Media Awards
Aviation Week’s journalists captured five 2024 Aerospace Media Awards on Sunday evening in London.
Steve Trimble took home the prestigious Bill Gunston Technology Writer of the Year award. The award for the best submission for safety, training and simulation went to Sean Broderick, Jens Flottau, Thierry Dubois and Christine Boynton for their story about the prospects of airframers reducing the number of crew members required in the cockpit.
Boynton soon was back onstage to accept the Best Breaking News award for her in-depth reporting on the JetBlue-Spirit merger trial in U.S. Federal Court in Boston. Guy Norris claimed the Best Sustainable Aviation Submission for his firsthand account of flight tests by NASA and Boeing to study contrails. And Graham Warwick won the Best Advanced Air Mobility award for his in-depth article "Eyes on the AAM Prize."
Aerospace Media Awards judges selected winners from more than 500 submissions worldwide.
