FL Technics Spare Parts fully implemented the ISO 9001:2008 standard for quality management. The ISO certificate was issued by an independent third-party accreditation body.

FL Technics signed $20 million worth of agreements with OLT Express Regional. The agreements include component power-by-the-hour support, access to a rotable pool and logistics and transport services. FL Technics also will provide OLT Express Regional with line maintenance services for 10 ATR-42/-72 aircraft at four airports.

Aeronautical Engineers will provide a Boeing 737-400SF freighter conversion to Aviation Capital Group. Atran Cargo Airlines, based in Moscow, will operate the freighter after its completion. When O&M went to press, the freighter was undergoing modification at Flightstar Aircraft Services, AEI's authorized conversion center in Jacksonville, Fla.

Standard Aero will continue providing engine maintenance on Pinnacle Airlines’ Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft until mid-August while the U.S. regional transitions to a new provider. The Tempe, Ariz.-based maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider had asked Pinnacle’s bankruptcy court to terminate its contract immediately, citing a long-running dispute about pay rates with Delta Air Lines, which owns the aircraft operated by Pinnacle.

The chairman and CEO of Boeing was accepting the 2011 Robert J. Collier Trophy on behalf of the team that developed the 787, a jet that is finally in service following more than three years of delays.
